Wheels go round and round. And are useful in a plethora of ways. Until life is exhausted – inviting wheels to consider alternative norms.
The wheels inside of a pocket watch are a far cry from the massive wheels of a combine harvester. But not so much. Both sets rotate. And assist in moving the system forward. Essential, in fact, to maintaining functionality in the world they inhabit.
Wheels go forward. Some wheels go backward. Wheels come in all shapes and sizes. And are made up of an assortment of materials. Opening up the wheel to a variety of texture and color expression.
Many wheels have tread. But not all. Some wheels are well-suited for inclement weather. Others are sensitive to such a climate. Wheels of a certain type flex and conform to the needs around. But not all. From a distance, some sets of wheels look eerily similar. But up close, wheels prove distinctive in sophisticated ways.
The life expectancy of a wheel varies from one to another. Some wheels lose their capacity unexpectedly. Way too soon. Other wheels defy manufacturing odds and last beyond fathom.
A wheel that stands alone cannot reach full potential. For the manufacturer designed each wheel for a specific purpose. To be in sync with other wheels. To be connected with a greater machine. To support. Maintain. Provide. Help transport. Lift up.
And when wheels come together in harmony, even the greatest distance is possible. And when wheels remain hinged with the great machine, even the most glorious harvest is within reach. Amen.
